Why Jekyll?

I had to redo the wordpress site, so really the only reason for using this system is because it is geeky and interesting.

I do like the idea behind it though. I have often argued about the joys of a generated static website.

If things do not change, why then render them every time the page is read?

With a blog like this, with 0 readers, scalability is vitally important ;)

Will I keep Jekyl?

I do not know. for now: Ooooh Shiny!

Other considerations

I was about to start a new bare metal portfolio project. This is in the same lines.
